More than one month of on-site development to create a wire specifically for Coralina.

THE CHALLENGE

The finish had to be good enough to sell as sawn.

Coralina is a soft and highly heterogeneous natural stone, making diamond-wire cutting particularly challenging. For this customer, the requirement was even more demanding: the slabs are sold directly with their sawn finish, so cutting marks, vibrations or an uneven surface were unacceptable.

THE DIAMOND SERVICE SOLUTION

There was no ready-made answer.

A Diamond Service technician worked alongside the customer for more than one month, testing different diamond wires and different machine configurations. Step by step, we developed a wire specifically around the material, the machine and the finish the customer needed.

THE RESULT

A multiwire finish that looks like a gangsaw cut.

Today, the customer has a dedicated Diamond Service wire that combines reliable Coralina cutting with exceptional surface quality. The slabs come off the multiwire looking as if they had been cut on a gangsaw.
