CASE STUDY / BLOCK SQUARING WIRE

FRAVIZEL SQUARING WIREPORTUGAL

A demanding block-squaring application in Fátima where conventional wire mounting lasted only about one week.

Portugal PORTUGAL · FÁTIMA · BLOCK SQUARING
THE RESULT IN ONE LINE

FROM ONE WEEKTO ONE MONTH.

A reinforced resin-mounted wire developed for the demanding operating conditions of a Fravizel block-squaring machine.

THE CHALLENGE

The wire mounting lasted only one week.

Fravizel is an excellent machine for block squaring, but its operating conditions are particularly demanding for diamond-wire assembly. Customers in Fátima were experiencing mounting failures after only about one week, forcing the wire to be sent back to the factory for replastificating.

THE DIAMOND SERVICE SOLUTION

We reinforced the wire assembly.

After a detailed technical study of the machine, working conditions and failure mode, Diamond Service developed a reinforced resin-mounted wire specifically for this application.

THE RESULT

Four times the service interval.

The reinforced construction extended the service interval from approximately one week to one month, dramatically reducing replastificating frequency, downtime and production interruptions.

WHAT CHANGED

LESS replastificating.MORE PRODUCTION.

The objective was not to change an excellent machine. It was to develop a wire assembly capable of withstanding the demanding conditions that machine creates.
