THE CHALLENGE

The tools gradually closed.

With the previous Fickert tools, the abrasives gradually lost cutting action. From time to time, the line had to process slabs of a more abrasive granite — even when that granite was not needed — simply to reopen the tools.

A Fickert developed for quartzite.

Diamond Service supplied a dedicated Fickert for Quartzite, developed to remain open while working directly on demanding quartzites such as Taj Mahal.

Continuous Taj Mahal production.

The customer can now process Taj Mahal continuously, without interrupting production to run abrasive granite slabs just to reactivate the tools.
