A Diamond Service customer was involved in the decommissioning of an offshore oil platform in the North Sea. With a demanding project schedule, the cutting operations required a diamond wire capable of combining reliability with high cutting speed.
The customer needed to perform underwater cutting operations as part of the platform dismantling process. With tight deadlines, cutting speed was a key requirement for the project.
Diamond Service selected Black Mamba and configured the wire specifically for this application at 48 beads per metre. The high bead concentration was chosen to provide the cutting performance required for this demanding subsea operation.
The dedicated Black Mamba configuration provided the customer with the solution needed to tackle the underwater cutting operation within the project's demanding timeframe.
